Maddi - Project Interfaith Video #1
Reflection questions this week:
What does service mean to you?
Why do you want to participate in this project?
What do you hope to get out of it?

Maddi - thanks for having an on-location video! What makes it more strange to be in a church compared to being at home like the others? Very astute observation about service. I suspect you'll be more comforted with conversations with others, but I hope this form of dialogue is useful. I wish you luck!
KalebM- I guess what makes it more strange to be in a church than at home is that at home is more of a safety zone. You feel more comfortable at home, because it is your space. With my conversion sitting in Church feels like an outsider, and like I don't belong. Also because part of my conversion has to do with my own personal feelings towards the catholic Church, so sitting in there talking about my changing faith, just seems very weird to me.

Hey Maddi- Thanks for sharing your opinions and recent decision to convert. I also attended a Catholic school when I was younger and can relate in the questions and alone feeling. Do not be afraid to share and express your concerns. It is easier sometimes to share your feelings and thoughts with complete strangers I think it is great that you had the courage to video yourself in the church because it is looked at by many as such a sacred or stiff environment, but young individuals such as yourself are helping to change the way the Catholic religion is practiced. If at any time during the project you have questions on converting or just need to talk—let me know!
