"Project Interfaith has opened a dialogue among and outside of our district staff.  It has provided the vehicle to begin a renewed awareness and understanding of the metro area’s richness of cultural and religious diversity.  The experience has also helped me personally and professionally to see that religious diversity goes well beyond your faith or religion.  The stereotypes and related activities and discussions were truly the awakening for me.  Everyone that I have spoken to that has attended either session has said that the activities and ‘learnings’ will definitely be taken back and used in their classrooms.  Staff participants have also encouraged administrators to bring the opportunity into individual buildings so all staff may benefit from the training.  That in itself is a powerful message!  At a difficult time globally and most recently educationally in our community, this training is an invaluable tool, one that I can’t support strongly enough."

"I would have never thought that this exhibition would have brought so much excitement for students. Every single student really enjoyed and commented on every single exhibit .. . At our next class everybody commented on how exciting it was to go out of the classroom and to be in touch with religion through the maze of religious objects and to become more familiar with each of the five world religions through this experience. I, as a teacher, have found a great satisfaction in going with my students to see the “Images of Faith” exhibition because I have seen that students had been fully engaged in excitement of true learning."

"My reaction as an educator to this exhibit, as it is to everything Project Interfaith does, is that it was incredibly well conceived and well prepared; it was extremely educational, and the study guide makes it possible for even a teacher with little knowledge or background in this area to teach his/her students a great deal and make the experience a valuable one. "I did not even know what I did not know! This workshop has opened my horizons and has given me tools to begin my own journey of understanding . . . I now try to invite conversations about differences in beliefs and customs instead of avoiding them.  I have found that most people have as many questions about my beliefs as I have about theirs.  My attitude is much more open and I am truly excited to meet and become familiar with people who believe differently than I do.  Most importantly for me, is the fact that I want to be able to have all the people that I serve to know that I accept them for who they are, and what they believe is an integral part of who they are.  I want my Staff to be open to, and excited about new ideas of worship and celebration in our Senior Communities . . . I attend many conferences and workshops each year for my ongoing professional education, and I can say with great enthusiasm, that the Religious Diversity Workshop for Caregivers has impacted me more than any other presentation that I have attended in the past five years. I am excited for others in my profession to experience the self-awareness and intimate education that this workshop brings to each person who attends."
