An Intercultural Experience
This program is funded in part by the Nebraska Humanities Council and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment.
Sunday, November 7, 2010, 1:30 PM - 5:00 PM
Project Interfaith - UNO Collaboration Center
115 South 49th Avenue, Omaha, NE 68132
Join Project Interfaith for a Sunday afternoon visit to the Midwest Islamic Foundation mosque and Omaha's Hindu Temple. We'll travel together to each religious location where we'll be joined by a representative who will inform us about the Hindu and Muslim communities in Omaha -- their religious traditions, and cultural and educational activities.
For more information and to register contact the Nebraska Humanities Council at (402) 474-2131 or nhc@nebraskahumanities.org.
Please register by Monday, October 25 as space is limited.
Participants will be expected to remove their shoes at both the mosque and temple. Men should wear a nice shirt that covers past the elbows and long pants (no shorts permitted). Women should wear long pants or a full-length skirt and a shirt that covers past the elbows. Women should bring a large scarf to cover the hair and neck at the mosque. (No capris or short skirts. Avoid low-cut blouses).
Come celebrate the launch of RavelUnravel on Thursday, May 17 at 5:30 pm at the OM Healing Arts Center (1216 Howard St, Omaha, NE)!
